Supervisor – Base Camp
A message from the Dean
Supervisors as well as graduate students journey together in a supervisory relationship, building capacity together in the pursuit of great heights. Base Camp resources are supportive of multiple communities -- graduate students, Postdoctoral Fellows, supervisors, and staff – as they collaborate to, investigate, examine, construct, and transform. Base Camp is structured around 4 Peaks: Lead, Support, Explore, and Inspire.
The Supervisor Series is a dimension of Base Camp, focussing knowledge, skills, and capacities of our supervisor community. Building scaffolded learning and discovery for our supervisory community is one means by which we provide wrap-around supports for our graduate students and Postdoctoral Fellows. The 4 Peaks of Base Camp support supervisors through resource construction, collegial exchanges, community engagement, and integration of best practices in graduate and Postdoctoral Fellow supervision.
