How to opt out of select ancillary fees
The student health and dental plan is provided through the Student Union and is available for all full-time students. If you have other coverage, you can use the student insurance in co-ordination with your current plan to increase coverage, or you can opt out of the health and dental portion of the plan.
If you are opting out, you must meet the following deadlines to be eligible for the refund:
- The deadline for all fees, which must be paid in full to your tuition account—including your health and dental fee.
- The deadline to opt out of the health and dental plan online.
There will be no exceptions if you miss either of these deadlines.
You have the following opt-out or opt-in options:
- Health plan only.
Dental plan only.- Both health and dental.
It is important to note that you are only required to opt out once. In future years, you will automatically be opted out and receive a refund. If you lose coverage, you have 30 days to opt back into the plan. Alternatively, each September you can opt back in.
