  • CAMH Discovery Fund Postdoctoral Research Award

    The Discovery Fund provides support for postdoctoral researchers pursuing basic and clinical research to better identify, diagnose, prevent and treat mental illnesses. Both one- and two-year awards are available to support full-time postdoctoral studies under the primary supervision of a CAMH scientist. The Discovery Fund Postdoctoral Research Award, supporting prospective postdoctoral researchers, reflects an investment in the future generation of world-class researchers in mental health.

  • Canada Postdoctoral Research Awards

    The Canada Postdoctoral Research Award (CPRA) program recognizes and supports the next generation of outstanding innovators, knowledge workers, creative thinkers and researchers at a pivotal time in their careers. These new awards streamline the postdoctoral fellowship programs administered by the Tri-agency into a new harmonized talent program.

    The CPRA program is a federal research talent investment program in the Canada Research Training Awards Suite (CRTAS)  administered by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). The CRTAS aims to support the next generation of innovators by providing funding and high-quality research training, cultivating research skills, fostering creativity, and empowering awardees to make significant contributions to Canada’s research ecosystem, economy and prosperity.

  • endMS Postdoctoral Fellowships

    The endMS Postdoctoral Fellowship Program is intended to support research for training of Postdoctoral Fellows in studies related to MS. The endMS Postdoctoral Fellowships serve to attract and retain young researchers in the field of MS.

  • Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation Distinguished Scholars Awards

    The foundation welcomes proposals from any of the natural and social sciences and the humanities that promise to increase understanding of the causes, manifestations, and control of violence and aggression.

  • Human Frontier Science Program Fellowships

    The Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP) fellowship program supports proposals for frontier, potentially transformative research in the life sciences. Human Frontier Science Program (HFSP). HFSP postdoctoral fellowships encourage early career scientists to broaden their research skills by moving into new areas of study while working in a new country.

  • John Charles Polanyi Prizes

    In honour of the achievement of John Charles Polanyi, recipient of the 1986 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, the government of the province of Ontario has established a fund to provide up to five prizes annually to outstanding researchers in the early stages of their career who are continuing to postdoctoral studies or have recently started a faculty appointment at an Ontario university.

  • Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships

    MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships enhance the creative and innovative potential of researchers holding a PhD and who wish to acquire new skills through advanced training, international, interdisciplinary and inter-sectoral mobility. MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships will be open to excellent researchers of any nationality.

  • National Research Council of Canada H.L. Holmes Award for Postdoctoral Studies

    Bequeathed by the late Dr. Holmes, in recognition of NRC's commitment to promote research excellence, the award gives recipients the opportunity to conduct postdoctoral studies under outstanding researchers at world-famous graduate schools or research institutes.

  • NSERC Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Postdoctoral Fellowships

    The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) has established the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowships for research in Japan. A limited number of promising early-career researchers are given the opportunity to conduct research in Japanese universities and in designated research institutions and laboratories.   • Ontario Women's Health Scholar Award - Postdoctoral

    Funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, a Scholar Awards Program in Women's Health has been established to ensure that Ontario attracts and retains pre-eminent women's health scholars.

  • Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Partnership Engage Grant

    SSHRC Partnership Engage Grants provide short-term and timely support for partnered research activities that will inform decision making at a single partner organization from the public, private or not-for-profit sector. Partnership Engage Grants are expected to respond to the objectives of the Research Partnerships program.

  • Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Talent Award

    The Talent Award recognizes outstanding achievement by an individual who holds a SSHRC doctoral scholarship, fellowship or postdoctoral fellowship. This includes, but is not limited to, a Canada Graduate Scholarship, Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship or Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship.
