Mitacs Accelerate Program
Mitacs Accelerate is Canada’s premiere research internship program. It connects companies with over 50 research-based universities through graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, who apply their specialized expertise to business challenges. Interns transfer their skills from theory to real-world application, while the companies gain a competitive advantage by accessing high-quality research expertise.
Mitacs Globalink Research Award
The Mitacs Globalink Research Award (GRA) supports research collaborations between Canada and select partner organizations and eligible countries and regions.
Canada Graduate Scholarship - Master's Program
The objective of the Canada Graduate Scholarships – Master’s (CGS M) program is to help develop research skills and assist in the training of highly qualified personnel by supporting students who demonstrate a high standard of achievement in undergraduate and early graduate studies.
Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS)
Students in graduate studies at the master’s and doctoral levels can apply for a merit-based scholarship through the Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) Program. Awards are available to graduate students for all disciplines of academic study at participating schools in Ontario. Each award is jointly funded by the Province of Ontario (two thirds) and the school offering the award (one third).
Canada Graduate Scholarship - Doctoral Program
The Canada Graduate Scholarships – Doctoral (CGS D) program is a federal program of scholarships awarded through national competitions by the granting agencies: the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).
IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme
The IAEA Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellowship Programme (MSCFP) seeks to inspire and support young women to pursue a career in the nuclear field. To that end, the MSCFP provides scholarships to selected students studying towards a Master’s degree in nuclear related subjects as well as internship opportunities facilitated by IAEA. Selected students are awarded up to 20,000 euros for tuition costs and up to 20,000 euros for living costs for the duration of their Master’s programme.
IBET Momentum Fellowship
The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science (FEAS) is committed to increasing the diversity of the Canadian workforce in the engineering and technology sector, especially, the participation of Indigenous and Black communities. Partnering with the Indigenous and Black Engineering and Technology Ph.D. Project (IBET), the Faculty will provide financial support, mentorship, training and networking opportunities to foster a robust professional community for participating Ph.D. candidates through the IBET Momentum Fellowship.
Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships
Named after Major-General Georges P. Vanier, the first francophone Governor General of Canada, the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship (Vanier CGS) program helps Canadian institutions attract highly qualified doctoral students.
Vector Scholarship in Artificial Intelligence
The Vector Scholarship in Artificial Intelligence supports the recruitment of top students to AI-related master’s programs in Ontario. Valued at $17,500 for one year of full-time study at an Ontario university, these merit-based entrance awards recognize exceptional candidates pursuing a master’s program recognized by the Vector Institute or who are following an individualized study path that is demonstrably AI-focused. Students in both core technical programs and complementary fields such as business and health are encouraged to seek nomination. Scholarship recipients will also have priority access to exclusive career exploration and professional development opportunities, and research talks, to support and nurture their excellence in AI.
