Plagiarized statements of academic intent or falsification of information and documentation will result in automatic refusal of admission to the School of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (SGPS). Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Using and passing off the ideas or writings of another as one's own.
- Changing words but copying the sentence structure of a source without giving credit.
- Presenting an idea or product that has been derived from an existing source as new or original.
SGPS uses a plagiarism-detection system for all applications.
